Pre-school Classes – Class Etiquette
Classes are popular and can be busy, to ensure that your child settles quickly into their classes and benefits fully we have felt it appropriate to reflect on the class etiquette. It would be appreciated if you could read through this to ensure your child’s dancing experience is maximised.
Please let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions. Thank you
Miss Sophie & Team
- Due to classes being busy and some of our halls being limited on space, it is requested a maximum of two people to watch, please. In special circumstances, if you would like additional family members to attend please request this in advance.
- We do try to start classes on time but due to the unpredictability of pre-schoolers, this does not always happen. Please be patient and if you do come into class when a class is still taking place, please be quiet or wait in the lobby area if available.
- If you are late to class please make sure you arrive quietly and walk around the edge of the room (not across) to ensure as little disturbance & distraction as possible.
- If you are going to be later than 15 minutes please do not attend class. The warmup will have been missed, and class will be well underway, and causes disruption to ALL children.
- Please ensure noise is kept to a minimum during class. With parents chatting and siblings playing noise creeps up and it is very disturbing for the children as they get distracted and will not focus on instructions being given.
- If a child does become noisy in class with tears or a tantrum please do take them out of the room to calm down as it is very unfair on all the other children trying to listen.
- A reminder there should be no filming or photos taken during class. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for teachers to keep an eye on this when teaching with so many phones out in class. Some children in our classes are not allowed to be photographed by ourselves for marketing purposes and I would hate for something to be shared inappropriately on social media by a parent.
- With permission, you may be able to take a photo or film of just your child if they are doing something individually but permission must be sought prior to the class.
